Ball End Hex Insert Bit Sets. The Wiha 71711 - Ball End Hex Insert Bit 3/32in. comes with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Designed to be impace resistant, this Ball End Hex Insert Big is suitable for both manual and machine applications. The set is made of a modified chrome-vanadium-molybdenum, a tool steel, hardened to HRC 59-61. The Ball End Hex Insert Bit Set is sold as a 2 piece set only.
CVM or Chrome-Vanadium-Molybdenum steel is a special, high strength, high performance alloy. Chromium improves wear resistance, hardness and corrosion resistance. Vanadium also improves the grain structure for a tougher tool. Molybdenum improves impact resistance as well as increases tensile strength and elasticity to prevent tool breakage and snapping.
